David Dawdy

David Dawdy, Director of Fire and Life Safety NPD at CornellCookson, is a fire protection code and standards specialist. He is a trainer for the IDEA Rolling Fire Door Technician Certification program and developed the recently unveiled State Fire Marshals Training program for rolling steel fire protectives. Mr. Dawdy is member of the DASMA technical committee for rolling doors and windows, the NFPA 80 and NFPA 105 standards development committees and serves on the UL standards technical committee. He attends International Code Council (ICC) hearings and speaks as an advocate for our industry. He serves on the board of directors for the International Door Association and previously chaired its technical and education committee.
